Lighting is the first element in design. If you don't have light you have nothing. Texture, color, contrast is all dependent on the proper lighting.
Lighting fixtures are also used as decorative element. Many very cool and unique designs surfaced during the MCM period.

Stonco offers some unique options. When in Palm Springs I saw this fixture is being used on Frank Sinatra's House.

Progress offers a nice line that works well.
Globes are always cool! Seagull offers these in 8,10,12 and 14".
It does not get much cooler than this! The Louis Poulsen PH5. Poulsen offers amazing fixtures.
DMF offers a variety of fixtures that works in MCM interiors. This particular model has a coiled cord and adjust's up and down.
